Anna Pedersen is a Neurotherapist at Neurotherapy of Colorado Springs. She completed advanced training in neurofeedback and qEEG testing under the guidance of Chris Edwards and Alexa Transtrum.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2016, giving her a strong foundation in population health, wellness education, and prevention-based approaches. Anna holds certifications in Alpha-Stim and Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES), and is a HeartMath® Certified Practitioner, trained to help clients build resilience through heart-brain coherence and biofeedback techniques.

Her clinical orientation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with influences from solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed practices, and somatic psychology. She believes in treating the whole person by integrating both the mind and body into the healing process, helping clients move toward lasting change and emotional well-being.

Anna is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling at Concordia University Irvine. She is beginning her formal counseling experience as a Practicum and Internship student at Neurotherapy of Colorado Springs.

Anna’s passion for neurofeedback began during her college years, when she personally experienced its transformative effects while working with Dr. Davis at Integrated Health Solutions. That firsthand experience sparked a deep curiosity and commitment to helping others benefit from this powerful and science-based methodology.

Neurofeedback helped me shift in a way that talk therapy alone hadn’t. It changed how I understood the brain’s role in healing—and it made me want to help others feel that same shift.

Her journey in mental health started early in her work as an au pair for nonverbal children with autism and worked in an inpatient facility supporting children with emotional and behavioral needs. These experiences continue to shape her compassionate, strengths-based approach to care.

In addition to her work in mental health, Anna brings a rich background in mind-body wellness. She is a certified yoga instructor and has enjoyed teaching yoga for several years, incorporating breathwork, mindfulness, and movement to help reconnect others with their bodies. She often draws from these practices to support clients in achieving nervous system regulation and emotional balance.

Outside of the office, Anna lives a full and adventurous life. She enjoys yoga, snowboarding, hiking, traveling, and recently picked up ice climbing as a new challenge.
